Executive Leadership Short Course 
Take your leadership to the next level through this four-month course designed for mid-career and senior leaders in local and state agencies. It serves as a bridge to the Public Health Leadership Institute, offering practical tools, human-centered frameworks, and peer coaching to help leaders strengthen team performance, support staff development, and build essential leadership capabilities.
 
The program includes interactive learning sessions, peer coaching, and applied problem-solving connecting to the NC Public Health Leadership Institute
NC Public Health Pathways Program

Engage with the NC Public Health Pathways Program for opportunities designed to strengthen the recruitment and retention of a skilled, knowledgeable governmental public health workforce in NC. Through internships, practicums, fellowships, and professional development experiences, the programs support early-career growth and broaden entry into public health careers across the state. PHuture Leaders Program

As part of the Pathways Program, PHuture Leaders offers a 14‑week leadership development experience for early‑career public health professionals, focused on building practical, foundational leadership skills.

The program allows participants to explore and practice leadership on their own terms. Through monthly webinars and self-directed learning, participants develop leadership visions, strengthen communication and ethical decision-making, and apply skills directly in their workplaces.

NCIPH Course Catalog

The North Carolina Institute for Public Health offers a whole suite of training courses tailored for public health professionals — including programs focused on leadership, school nursing, conferences, and more. Our NCIPH Course Catalog offers a wide range of learning opportunities, including free online eLearns available anytime.​
