This 20-minute, online training provides an overview of the Foundational Public Health Services framework, which includes five foundational public health service areas and eight cross-cutting foundational capabilities.

 

This framework identifies the minimum set of services that governmental public health entities should provide, and the minimum package of infrastructure they need to support those services.

This training explores how your everyday work supports the North Carolina Foundational Capabilities—the essential set of services that allow public health to function effectively across the state.

 

As you move through this module, you’ll see how the common tasks you complete every day contribute to teams, programs, and community health outcomes.​
